Welcome to Manchester Pub & Club Network
The Network meets on the first Tuesday of each month and is designed to offer a forum to meet, discuss problems and keep up with the ever changing requirements and challenges of running licensed premises in Manchester. The Network has been established for 19 years and has been an important voice in the shaping of various policies regarding the management of premises in Manchester.
The Network consists of member venues each of which can be represented at the meetings by the licensee or their nominated manager/owner etc. At meetings, votes on issues are often made. Each venue represented at the meeting can vote (one vote per venue regardless of numbers of people present from the venue). The Network’s main strength is in the contributions made by members themselves and the experience they can lend to other members.
The meetings are chaired and guided by a committee made up of members who are elected annually. These positions comprise: Chair, Vice-Chair/Treasurer and Press and Publicity Spokesperson. Neither the committee, guest speakers, police, nor members of the council (who are all invited to attend) can vote. For clarification, representatives from Security firms are NOT permitted to attend these meetings. Read More…
